Qualifications:

35+ years local government experience
20 years working for Alachua County
25 years in management and supervisory capacity
Master’s of Business Administration with special coursework in Public Administration and Human Resources
Wide ranging local government work in:
- County Government
- Sheriff’s Office
- Clerk & Comptroller’s Office

Experience:

Conducted and presented numerous operational audits to the Board of County Commissioners
Coordinated the state required audit for the Alachua County Infrastructure Surtax Referendum
Managed the Alachua County Citizens Academy for more than 12 years - including over 500 participants
Awarded the Government Finance Officer’s Association Special Budget Award in Performance and Strategic Planning, which recognizes government agencies for preparing transparent budgets of the highest quality.
Received the International City/County Management Association’s Certificate in Performance Management which recognizes jurisdictions that have excelled in local government performance manag0ement, reporting, and organizational improvement.
